Bihar shivered due to severe cold, cold wave will continue for now

Bihar is now facing the brunt of cold wave this winter. The period of freezing cold and fog that brings mercury to the surface during the day has been going on for the last six days. At present, the cold wave does not seem to be ending yet, it is predicted to continue further. Due to fog, there is hardly any district in the state which has not yet reached the cold day situation.

Cold day situation has arisen due to fog

The reason for the persistence of Cold Day/Cold Wave like conditions is not the dissipating fog. A strong layer of it is present one to two kilometers above the surface. Dust particles are also included in the fog. Because of this sunlight is not able to reach the surface. Therefore, due to the mercury falling much below normal, cold day conditions are being created in most areas of the state. Generally, winter rains occur from December to January due to the activity of western disturbances. Because of this the sky used to become clear. This is not being seen this time. Cold day conditions are being created continuously in the state after the year 2018.

It may rain on 26-27 January

According to the weather report, a powerful western disturbance is forming in the state around January 26. Due to this, there may be rain in Bihar on 26 or 27 January. This will increase the cold.
