Jehanabad. General Manager of East Central Railway, Anil Kumar Khandelwal inspected the ongoing reconstruction work at Jehanabad Railway Station on Friday. During this, he instructed the concerned officials to speed up the construction work and complete the work on time. Told that there should be no negligence in work. The GM, who reached Jehanabad with ADRM Aadhar Raj from the special salon, reprimanded the station master on the question of installing lights at the centering point of the goods train during the inspection.
GM expressed happiness on the budget
Expressing happiness over the huge benefits received by the Railways in the budget presented by the Central Government, GM said that according to the budget, many types of works will be done in the coming days in the fields of various railways. He said that a large number of express and passenger trains were operated from different places during the festival last year. In comparison to last year, about 4000 special trains were run from different places.
On the question of running trains from Patna-Gaya railway section to Mumbai, Howrah and Delhi, he said that discussions are being held with the officials regarding the status of operation of trains in this railway section and how many trains can be run. Will be considered. On the question of stoppage of Vande Bharat Express train from Patna to Ranchi at Jehanabad, he said that all trains cannot be stopped at all places. Almost most of the trains running on Patna-Gaya railway section stop at Jehanabad.
Construction of underpass at eight places
In response to a question regarding illegal railway crossings, the General Manager said that the work of issuing tenders for construction of several underpasses and footover bridges on the Patna-Gaya railway section is going on. Underpasses will be constructed at eight places on the Patna-Gaya railway section. He said that reconstruction work is being done at Jehanabad Railway Station to increase passenger facilities. Construction work will gain momentum soon. By December, passengers will start getting better facilities.
Information taken on illegal parking
On the question of illegal parking in the railway premises, the GM took information from the local officials. Officials told that now the entire complex has been declared as parking. In such a situation, there is no illegal parking anymore. Along with construction of circulating area in the station premises, work like shifting of ATM, demolition of old building and construction of new building, construction of temporary office etc. is going on. Apart from ADRM, CPM officers, Chief Project Manager, Senior DMcord, Senior DOM etc. were present along with the GM.
