Bihar News: The impact of weather is visible on train and air services in Bihar and UP. For the last few days, many major and other trains including Rajdhani Express and Duronto are running late by hours. Train operations are being affected due to fog. At the same time, the problems of air passengers have also increased. These days many planes are flying late from Patna airport. Even at Darbhanga airport, planes are facing problems in taking off and many flights are being canceled due to bad weather and operational reasons.
Trains coming late from Delhi to Bihar due to fog in UP
Many trains are running late due to bad weather and fog. About 10 trains coming to Patna Junction from Delhi, Ahmedabad and Mumbai were late on Friday. Apart from this, two trains coming from Delhi were cancelled. The trains that were canceled included Mahananda coming from Old Delhi to Patna and Malda Town coming from New Delhi. Tejas Rajdhani arrived late by about 2 hours and Magadha, Vikramshila, and Humsafar arrived late by about an hour. Apart from this, Sampoorna Kranti and Brahmaputra were delayed by about half an hour, weekly super fast coming from Ahmedabad was delayed by about an hour. Karmabhoomi, which opens from Patna and goes to Mumbai, also opened late by 40 minutes.
Six flights were cancelled, 11 pairs of planes flew late
Due to bad weather, fog and operational reasons, six flights coming to and returning from Patna were canceled on Friday. IndiGo flight 6E2769, arriving from Delhi to Patna at 10:10 am, was the first flight to be cancelled. Indigo Airlines flight 6E255 to Bengaluru was also canceled at 11:30 pm. Along with this, one flight each of Indigo to Hyderabad, Deoghar, Ranchi and Chennai was also cancelled.
First flight landed at 10.38
Due to visibility reaching 1000 meters, aircraft movement started at Patna airport at 10.38 am. The first flight was Vistara’s UK 717 from Delhi. Despite this, the operation of 11 pairs of aircraft was delayed. Because of this, not only the weather of Patna but also of other cities from where the plane was to come to Patna. Due to cancellation of flights and delayed movement, there was a huge crowd of passengers from the waiting hall of the airport to the terminal building.

These days there are 28 pairs of scheduled flights at Patna Airport. But for the last 10 days, some flight is getting canceled every day due to fog, bad weather or other operational reasons. Most days two or three flights are cancelled. On January 3 and 4, their number increased to six and on January 5, it reached six. The total number of flights canceled in the last 10 days has been 27 pairs. In this way, an average of 2.7 pairs of flights have not arrived every day. If we look at the 28 scheduled flights, an average of 9.6 percent have not flown every day.

NI work is being carried out in view of the doubling work at Changsari and Agiathari stations of Rangia Division of North Eastern Railway. Due to this, 03 pairs of trains including Rajdhani passing through the said railway section will be run on the diverted route.
