After the immense success of Panchayat Season 1 and Panchayat Season 2, the makers are finally coming with the web series Panchayat 3 starring Jitendra Kumar, Raghubir Yadav and Neena Gupta in the lead roles.
The web series will stream on Amazon Prime. Panchayat 3 tells the story of an urban engineering graduate who struggles to hold a low-paid position as the secretary of the gram panchayat in a remote village called Phulera in Uttar Pradesh.
Interestingly, Panchayat 3 is one of the most awaited web series of 2024 and Jitendra will be seen reprising the role of Abhishek Tripathi and the fans are very excited to live this story again.
According to the report of Bollywood Life, Panchayat Season 3, directed by Deepak Kumar Mishra, was reported to be released on January 26 this year. However, this could not happen. The reason behind this was said to be the festival and the release of Fighter.
Now recent reports suggest that Panchayat 3 is expected to release in March 2024. However, no official announcement has been made in this regard yet. If the news turns out to be true, then Panchayat 3 will release after midnight on Prime Video between 12 am and 12:30 am.
Earlier, in an interview, Jitendra had talked about the web series. He said, “At TVF, we make the kind of shows that we want to watch. Malgudi Days is one of them. So we thought we should do a story based on the days of a village, which the audience will love.” ‘
At the 54th International Film Festival of India (IFFI) in Goa, Prime Video achieved a significant feat by winning the first Best Web Series (OTT) award for ‘Panchayat Season 2’.
The first season of Panchayat followed Abhishek Tripathi (Jitendra Kumar), who reluctantly accepts the job of Panchayat Secretary in Phulera, a remote village in Ballia, Uttar Pradesh.
The second season shows how Abhishek aka Sachiv ji has adapted to his role in Phulera and even develops relationships with the locals, primarily the former head of the village. (Raghubir Yadav), his wife and the de facto head (Neena Gupta) along with the other two functionaries (played by Faisal Malik and Chandan Roy).
