Pakistan, China and Afghanistan agree against terrorism, will fight together

Pakistan, China and Afghanistan have agreed to counter terrorism and enhance cooperation in various economic fields. The Foreign Office gave this information on Sunday. It said in a statement that the foreign ministers of the three countries participated in the fifth China-Pakistan-Afghanistan trilateral foreign ministers’ talks held in Islamabad on Saturday.

Consensus was reached on several points: The three sides agreed to enhance political engagement, counter-terrorism cooperation and trade, investment and connectivity under the trilateral framework, the statement said. No detailed description has been given about the tripartite talks. Afghanistan’s acting foreign minister Amir Khan Muttaki was specially permitted by the United Nations to travel to Pakistan for the meeting.

Chinese Foreign Minister met Bilawal Bhutto: Chinese Foreign Minister Qin Kang had flown in from Goa to attend the trilateral meeting, where he attended the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) meeting. Muttaki met Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari on Sunday and discussed key issues.

Emphasis on Bilateral Cooperation: In view of peace and security, he stressed the need to enhance coordination and strengthen bilateral cooperation to combat terrorism.
