Jammu and Kashmir The encounter between security forces and terrorists is going on since this morning in Bajimal area of Dharamsal in Rajouri district. Army and Jammu and Kashmir Police personnel are involved in this operation. Officials said that security forces have surrounded two terrorists on the spot and a fierce encounter is going on.
Four soldiers were martyred in the encounter
In the encounter between terrorists and security forces on Wednesday, four Army soldiers, including two Captain rank officers, were martyred and two others were injured. Officials said, two captains, a havildar and a soldier were martyred during the encounter. While a Major and another soldier have been injured. The injured soldiers have been taken to the military hospital located in Udhampur.
The terrorists opened fire when the army soldiers were conducting a search operation.
Police said that an encounter with terrorists started during a joint cordon and search operation by the Army and Jammu and Kashmir Police in Bajimal area of Dharamsal. Army’s ‘White Knight Corps’ said in a post on ‘X’ that based on specific intelligence, a joint operation was launched in Kalakot area of Gulabgarh forest of Rajouri on Sunday.
