President launches agriculture road map

Here on Wednesday, on the first day of his Bihar tour, the President launched the fourth agricultural road map of Bihar at Bapu Auditorium in Patna. After which the President said that agriculture is an important part of the folk culture of Bihar. From Batohiya and Bidesiya to Katni and Ropni songs, the journey of Bihar’s folk culture and literature has made its mark all over the world. During my visit to Suriname, I saw a glimpse of ancient Bihar there. Despite the vast geographical distance and being in different time zones, the people from Bihar have preserved their culture and traditions. On the other hand, they have also settled in the locality.

We have to get out of man-made narrow-mindedness.

Bihar is the land of Lord Buddha and Ashoka. He has taught the lesson of peace and harmony to the entire humanity. As a resident of this holy land, it is expected that you present the ideal of a society in which there is no scope for hatred and discord. The contribution of this state is very important in fulfilling the dream of developed India. But, to turn this dream into reality, we have to come out of man-made narrow-mindedness. There is no option other than integrated development to make Bihar a developed state. The policy makers and the public of the state will have to set a road map for the progress of Bihar and follow it. It is a matter of great joy that the agriculture road map is being implemented. I will be more happy when Bihar is seen continuously moving on the path of progress by making a map on every parameter of development. Be it health, education, per capita income or above all happiness index.
