Republic Day 2024: The main state function will be held at Gandhi Maidan in Patna on the 75th Republic Day on Friday. In this, Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar will hoist the flag at 9 am. All preparations for the ceremony have been completed. Tableaux of 14 departments will be displayed in the Republic Day celebrations. 250 artists are participating in the performance. The height of the tableaux has not been kept more than 15 feet. The artists gave final touches to the tableaux till late night on Thursday.
A glimpse of honesty and simplicity of Jannayak Karpuri will be seen
In the Republic Day celebrations, people will get to see glimpses of the government’s developmental and public welfare schemes, social reform campaigns and the work being done for women empowerment. The female audience will be excited by the high flight of women in the civil services examination with the financial support of the government. In the ceremony, people will come face to face with the honesty and simplicity of life of Bharat Ratna awarded public leader Karpoori Thakur.

The dam built by the Water Resources Department to provide water throughout the year in the Falgu River will also attract tourists. In the theme of ‘7 years of de-addiction unmatched’, people will learn about the awareness campaigns and actions taken for de-addiction. Patna Zoo has completed its 50th year this year. You will learn about the new changes in the zoo and the different types of new animals arriving. People will be aware of the government’s decision to provide jobs to players who perform well and bring medals.

Woman ASP Deeksha Bhavre will command the contingents participating in the parade at the function. Sir Rahman (Subedar) of Bihar Special Armed Police-5 Patna is the second parade commander. CRPF, SSB, ITBP, STF, BMP-1, BMP Mahila, Patna District Police Force (Women/Men), Home Raksha Vahini Urban, Home Raksha Vahini Rural, West Bengal Police, Bihar Jail Service, Prohibition and Excise Department, Dog Squad , Fire Brigade, NCC (Boys/Girls).
91 CCTV cameras will be monitored inside and outside Gandhi Maidan
Security in Patna has been increased for the Republic Day celebrations on Friday at Gandhi Maidan. 1500 police officers and soldiers have been deployed in Gandhi Maidan and the entire city. Besides, surveillance is being done through 91 CCTV cameras inside and outside Gandhi Maidan. All police officers and soldiers have been instructed to be present at their workplace from 6 am.
Gandhi Maidan divided into four sectors
From security point of view, the entire Gandhi Maidan has been divided into four sectors. Apart from this, a temporary police station has been opened in Gandhi Maidan itself. Where police officers and soldiers have been deployed. Along with dial 112, the police of the police stations have been asked to patrol their respective areas. Two fire brigade vehicles will also be kept around Gandhi Maidan. SSP Rajiv Mishra said that all preparations regarding security arrangements have been completed.
