On-duty woman constable commits suicide, suicide note reveals secrets, many police officers under investigation

There is a stir in the entire police department after the suicide note surfaced in the case of suicide of an on-duty female constable in Samastipur. It is being said that she was in depression due to the attitude of the Sergeant Major and senior officers. Female constable Archana Kumari had also written a two-page suicide note before dying. After sending its photo to her brother and husband on WhatsApp, she committed suicide by hanging herself from the fan in her own office (control room of IVR 112). Police have also recovered a suicide note written by a female constable from the incident site. In the suicide note, he has accused Sergeant Major Nayan Kumar and several senior officers of torturing him.

Relatives crying after the incident

Here, Bachi Devi, mother of the deceased constable, has given a written application (complaint) to the city police station head against Sergeant Major Nayan Kumar and Samastipur SP. However, the city police station head has refused to register an FIR on this application. For this reason the FIR had not been registered yet. The brother of the deceased was making rounds between the city police station and the SP office to receive the application. It is said that the suicide note and the written complaint made by his mother have created a stir in the entire department. On the other hand, SP Vinay Tiwari has currently formed a SIT to investigate this incident. He has given this information through police social media.

She was worried about her husband’s suspension and vacating her quarters.

Female constable Archana’s husband Suman Kumar is also a constable of Samastipur district force. He is under suspension for the last two months. According to the suicide note and her mother’s written complaint, Archana was in depression due to the pressure from senior officials regarding her husband’s suspension and vacating the government quarters. She was deeply distressed due to the pressure of eviction from her residence even after her husband’s living allowance was stopped during his suspension period, government house was allotted in her name and deduction was made from her salary in lieu of it.

Children were also facing a lot of problems. Which she was not able to tolerate. She was continuously meeting the headquarters DSP and SP to get the suspension revoked. No one listened to him. Suman, husband of the deceased constable, told that on Wednesday his wife Archana had gone to meet the DSP at the headquarters. He gave up on this matter. Returned it back. Due to this she went into depression. Committed suicide by hanging himself in the control room on duty.

The suicide note of female constable Archana is going viral on social media. In this, the deceased constable has apologized to her husband and three children as well as her mother. Also quoting the officers of his department, he has written that – Brother, I have lost to all of you. In the two-page suicide note, it has been said that she was tired of visiting the officials to get her husband released from suspension and being harassed regarding the allotment of government house. Besides, it also mentions that the Sergeant Major had misled the SP by making a false report against her husband and got him suspended. Regarding the allotment of government house, he has written that after a lot of efforts, a government house was allotted in his name in the month of June. In lieu of this, deductions were also being made from his salary.

She was shifted to the government residence on the verbal orders of Sergeant Major and DSP Saheb. After that the Sergeant Major accused him (the husband) of breaking the lock and entering the house without orders. Tortured him in front of everyone. Not only this, pressure was also exerted to vacate the house. Because of this he had to leave his residence also. Her husband was also suspended. He appealed to the SP, DSP, Sergeant Major regarding his problems, but his words were not heard anywhere. Fed up with this, he has decided to commit suicide. Through his suicide note, he has appealed to the senior officials to get an investigation done at least once before taking any action against the junior employees.

Female constable Archana has three children. Archana was married about 8 years ago. Elder daughter Anish is 6 years old. Anushka is four years old and Abhinav is 2 years old. Seeing their father and grandmother crying, the children were also in bad shape. What the elder daughter said when asked about the incident in Sadar Hospital was heart-wrenching. He said that DSP Saheb lied and that is why the mother died. He said that father and mother had gone to live in the government house only on the request of DSP Saheb, but DSP Saheb said that he had not told me.

Information about the incident spread like wildfire

On Wednesday evening, at around 10.45 pm, the news of the suicide of on-duty woman constable Archana Kumari in the 112 control room located in the city police station campus, spread like wildfire within a few moments. It is said that Archana had hanged herself with the help of a dupatta after locking the room from inside. Before hanging herself, she had written a suicide note and sent it to her husband and some people on WhatsApp. As soon as it went viral, police personnel ran towards the control room. The gate was broken and he was brought down from the noose. He was immediately taken to Sadar Hospital. By then he had died. Meanwhile, husband Suman had also reached. He was in a bad state and was crying.

While crying, he was also making many serious allegations against the officers responsible for this incident. As soon as information about the incident was received, SP Vinay Tiwari along with Headquarters DSP Amit Kumar, Sadar DSP Sanjay Kumar Pandey, City Police Station Head Vikram Acharya along with a large number of policemen reached Sadar Hospital. After the family members arrived on Thursday morning, the police conducted the post-mortem and handed over the body to the family members. The family members were adamant on demanding action by registering a case against the guilty officers in this case. Later, on the initiative of Police Association officials, the mother of the deceased constable gave a written complaint about the incident to the police. After this he took the body to Gaya for cremation.
