Prime Minister Narendra Modi has promised to protect sisters and make two crore women millionaires on Bhai Dooj. On the second day of the two-day Jharkhand Yatra, Dharti Aaba reached Khunti after returning from village Ulihatu of Lord Birsa Munda. PM Modi Made this promise. Addressing a huge gathering at the stadium of Birsa College, he enumerated the achievements of his government and also told about future plans. The Prime Minister said that he promises his sisters on the day of Bhai Dooj that he will give priority to their safety. Also, two crore women will be made millionaires. He said that my dream is to make two crore women of self-help groups ‘millionaires’. He said that the government will spend Rs 13,000 crore under the PM Vishwakarma Scheme. PM Modi also announced free livestock vaccination worth Rs 15,000 crore. He said that 70 percent of the population has been connected with the Jal Jeevan Mission.

24 thousand crore projects for the development of vulnerable tribal groups

Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched projects worth Rs 24,000 crore for the development of Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups (PVTGs) in Khunti. Modi launched the ‘Prime Minister’s Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups’ (PM PVTG) mission from Birsa College grounds in Jharkhand’s Khunti district on the birth anniversary of Birsa Munda, an icon of tribal pride, and the third ‘Tribal Pride Day’. About 28 lakh extremely backward tribal people will get the benefit of this scheme. Under the mission, basic amenities like road and telecom connectivity, electricity, safe housing, clean drinking water and sanitation, better access to education, health and nutrition and sustainable livelihood opportunities will be provided in PVTG areas.

PM paid floral tribute to Birsa Munda in Ranchi

Earlier, the Prime Minister paid floral tributes at the 25-foot tall statue of tribal freedom fighter Birsa Munda at the Bhagwan Birsa Munda Memorial Garden-cum-Freedom Fighters Museum located in the Old Central Jail. Birsa Munda breathed his last in the jail here on June 9, 1900. Modi posted on social media platform ‘X’ (Twitter), ‘Respectful tribute to Lord Birsa Munda ji on his birth anniversary. Many best wishes to my family members across the country on this special occasion of Tribal Pride Day. When PM Modi visited the museum, Chief Minister Hemant Soren, Governor CP Radhakrishnan and Union Minister Arjun Munda were also present with him.
