Bengaluru : Ola Electric has started deliveries of the S1 Air electric scooter in the country, a few days after it went on sale in early August. The Ola S1 Air is a budget electric scooter from the company, on sale between the S1X and S1 Pro Gen2, both of which were launched on August 15, 2023. The company had earlier announced that it has received over 50,000 bookings for the S1 Air, which is now priced at Rs 1.20 lakh (ex-showroom).
Sales start in more than 100 cities
Ola S1 Air deliveries have started in over 100 cities across the country. The company says that soon it will be available in more cities as well. Ola Electric is ramping up production at the FutureFactory to meet the growing demand for the S1 Air, which is based on the Gen2 platform and also gets a comprehensively updated battery pack. The electric scooter comes with a 3 kWh battery pack, which offers a range of 151 km on a single charge.
Ola S1 Air Key Motor
Power to the Ola S1 Air comes from its 6 kW (8 bhp) BLDC hub motor, which has a top speed of 90 kmph. The speed of 0-40 kmph is reached in 3.3 seconds, while the speed of 0-60 kmph is achieved in 5.7 seconds. Charging time is 5 hours using a home charger, compared to 6.5 hours on the S1 Pro. Compared to the Gen2 S1 Pro, the S1 Air misses out on Hyper Mode, fast charging, as well as alloy wheels.
Ola S1 Air Colors
Ola S1 Air comes with telescopic front forks, flat footboard and 34-litre boot space. The e-scooter gets blacked-out panels along with matte and metallic finish colors for a dual-tone appearance. The e-scooter is available in six colours. These include Stellar Blue, Neon, Porcelain White, Coral Glam, Liquid Silver and Midnight Blue. The S1 Air is available at over 1,000 Ola Experience Centers across India and can be booked through the Ola app.

Ola Electric is using a 4.5 kW electric motor, which is hub mounted. It can accelerate from 0 to 40 kmph in 3.3 seconds, while it can reach 60 kmph in 5.7 seconds. The top speed of the scooter is 90 kmph and it comes with three riding modes. These are Eco, Normal and Sports.
Ola S1 Air hardware
Suspension duties on the Ola S1 Air are handled by telescopic forks at the front and dual shock absorbers at the rear. The braking setup includes drum brakes at the front and rear. Also, the company has changed the floorboard to a flat design and the rear grab rail is comfortable. The S1 comes with steel wheels instead of the air alloy wheels.
Features of Ola S1 Air
The S1 Air scooter comes with a 7-inch screen with a resolution of 800×840. It is equipped with features like cruise control, proximity unlock, call alert, party mode, navigation, vacation mode, digital key, document storage, profile and mood.
Ola S1 Pro to be launched on August 16
The second generation model of Ola S1 Pro, the best-selling electric scooter in India, has been launched on August 16 with even better range, features, safety and speed. Ola Electric introduced the Ola S1 Pro second generation model at a mega event in Bengaluru with an ex-showroom price of Rs 1,47,499. In this, the company has given All New Generation-2 platform, redesigned battery pack, Dhansu powertrain as well as better suspension and frame, so that it has become tremendous in terms of range, speed and features compared to the old S1 Pro.
