State Chief Electoral Officer K Ravikumar has directed to pay full attention to the possibilities of spreading confusion among voters by using fake news and deep fake videos in the Lok Sabha elections. He has directed the media monitoring cells of all the districts to work in pro-active mode and work as per the prescribed guidelines to prevent the spread of misleading news. He said that the posts circulated on social media should be immediately fact checked. It is necessary to take strict action to prevent possible misleading news while anticipating the post. While reviewing the preparations for the elections on the Lok Sabha seat in Dumka, he took information about the work done in the districts of the entire Santal Pargana division. Said that 100% compliance with the responsibilities set by the Election Commission should be ensured. Understanding the seriousness of the elections, peaceful, clean, fair and fear-free elections should be conducted. No stone should be left unturned in maintaining law and order.
