Odisha’s first CNG crematorium inaugurated at Khandagiri, Bhubaneswar

Two crematoriums being built in 16 crore 37 lakh

Gail said Bhubaneswar and Cuttack I am setting up a natural gas based crematorium with Rs 16 crore 37 lakh. Out of this, the crematorium built with an amount of five crore rupees has been inaugurated today in Dharma Vihar, Bhubaneswar. Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation is a partner in this. Similarly, two other crematoriums are being built at Aignia in Bhubaneswar and Khananagar in Cuttack. They will be launched soon. This will reduce the problem of cremation of dead bodies in both the cities.

Odisha got many projects: Dharmendra Pradhan

In order to keep the environment clean and safe, Mr. Pradhan thanked the GAIL Company for setting up a new state-of-the-art cremation center in the vision of Prime Minister Modi’s Ease of Living. Mr. Pradhan said that in the vision of Purvodaya of the Modi government, infrastructure development in the oil and gas sector is being strengthened in the states of eastern India including Odisha. In the last nine years, Prime Minister Modi has given petroleum and petrochemical projects worth two lakh three thousand 472 crores to Odisha.

Pipeline gas reached 50 thousand houses

The work of Jagdishpur, Haldia and Bokaro-Dhamra pipeline has been completed under Pradhan Mantri Urja Ganga Yojana. The work of LNG terminal in Dhamra has also been completed. Shri Pradhan said that the work of transporting gas through pipeline was started by GAIL in Cuttack and Bhubaneswar. Till now gas has been supplied to 50 thousand houses.
