Odisha Weather: Heavy rain in 11 districts including Sundargarh, Orange alert issued, water entered houses in Rourkela

Odisha Weather Today: Due to the formation of low pressure area in the eastern part of Odisha, heavy rains are continuing in many districts. Due to the South-West Monsoon, there has been heavy rain in Odisha in the last 24 hours and the Meteorological Office has predicted heavy rain for another day. The Meteorological Department office said that Odisha Light to moderate rain is continuing in at least 11 districts of Uttar Pradesh since Wednesday morning. The average monthly rainfall in the state in October is 114.7 mm, whereas from October 1 to October 3, the average rainfall has been 57.3 mm till 5:30 pm. Meanwhile, the Meteorological Department has issued an ‘Orange Alert’, in which heavy to very heavy rainfall (seven to 20 cm) has occurred in Sundergarh, Deogarh, Angul, Keonjhar and Mayurbhanj districts till 8.30 am on Wednesday. The Meteorological Department office said that heavy rain may occur at one or two places in Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Boudh, Dhenkanal, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack and Jagatsinghpur districts.
