The rains in Rourkela due to change in weather patterns left the entire city inundated. While there was heavy rain in the morning and evening on Tuesday, there was light drizzle in the middle. Waterlogging was seen at many places in the entire city. There are also reports of trees falling in some areas due to rain. Some trees collapsed and fell on the road near Sector-7-17 Chowk. Electric wires had also come under its grip. Which was later removed. Whereas in Rourkela, water was seen on Basanti Colony flyover, ITI and STI flyover. Serious situation of water logging was observed in Madu Maharaj Gali of Basanti Colony, Main Road. Water even entered some houses in Telgupada colony. According to the Meteorological Department, it may rain in the next 24 hours.
