Odisha: Elephant-human conflict continues in Sundergarh district, Gajraj took the lives of 77 people in 55 months.

Conflict between elephants and humans continues throughout the year in the three forest divisions of Sundergarh district of Odisha, Sundergarh, Rourkela and Banai. Despite the best efforts of the forest department elephant riots But could not be controlled. Due to which 77 people have lost their lives in the last 55 months in these three forest divisions. According to the information, 77 people have died in elephant attacks in the district between January 2019 and July 2023. On an average, every 21 days one person dies in an elephant attack. Maximum number of people have lost their lives in Rourkela forest division.

Most of those who died are poor farmers and working people. Due to lack of prompt action from the Forest Department, such incidents often occur.

Electricity failure in Nuatoli of Sonaparvat since 10 days

41 cases settled in National Lok Adalat

A total of 41 cases were disposed of in the Rashtriya Lok Adalat held on Saturday in the Rajgangpur court complex. Eight out of 46 cases brought by the Civil Court and 33 out of 42 cases brought by the First Class Judicial Court were disposed of. In which a total of Rs 37 lakh 61 thousand 605 was collected by various institutions and courts. Apart from this, while settling 35 cases of government money collection, Rs 2 lakh 70 thousand 871 were recovered.

Two people died in road accident

Two people died when a tractor collided with a truck near an agricultural equipment showroom on NH-53 under Atabira police station in Bargarh district on Friday. The deceased include Chiku Sahu (24) and Narayan Seth (50) of Behera village under Sadar police limits of the district. Police said that the victims had come to Attabira in the tractor for maintenance of their agricultural machinery and the accident occurred while they were unloading the machinery from the tractor trolley in front of the showroom. A container truck, which was coming towards Sambalpur, lost control, possibly due to high speed, and first hit the car of the showroom owner parked on the roadside and then the tractor on which Narayan and Chiku were present.

Bajrangis burnt effigies of Udayanidhi Stalin and A Raja

The anger of the Bajrangis in the city has erupted after the controversial statements given by Tamil Nadu government sports minister and Dravida Munnen Kazhagam (DMK) leader Udhayanidhi Stalin and A Raja on Sanatan Dharma. On Saturday, effigies of Udayinidhi and A Raja were burnt by Bajrang Dal at Ambedkar Chowk in Uditnagar. The Bajrangis raised slogans on the spot and demanded legal action against Stalin and A Raja. A demonstration was held by garlanding the photographs of both of them.

Bajrangis said that the way both the leaders have insulted Sanatan Dharma, it is clear what their mentality is towards Sanatan Dharma. Bajrang Dal leaders said that those who dream of eradicating Hinduism and Sanatan Dharma do not know that this effort has been going on for centuries, but has not been successful till date. Hundreds of workers including Rajesh Kumar Singh, Shankar Verma participated in the protest.
