Happy Birthday Naveen Patnaik: Prime Minister Narendra Modi and several other dignitaries on Monday (October 16) congratulated Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on his 77th birthday. PM Modi wrote on social media Twitter (now ‘X’), ‘My congratulations to Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik ji on his birthday. May he have a long and healthy life. Patnaik thanked Modi for wishing him on his birthday. He wrote on ‘X’, ‘Thank you, Honorable Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji, for your warm wishes on my birthday.’ However, Patnaik is not celebrating his birthday this time, because his elder sister Geeta Mehta had died last month. But the ruling Biju Janata Dal (BJD) organized several programs including plantation drives and blood donation camps in different parts of the state on his birthday. Naveen Patnaik Had requested his well-wishers not to come to his ‘Naveen Niwas’ to congratulate him on this occasion, hence no one came to congratulate him. But, a large number of people congratulated the Chief Minister on this occasion on social media platforms like ‘X’.
