Odd-even will be implemented in Delhi, schools closed, know what else the Kejriwal government has decided

Pollution is continuously increasing in the air of Delhi. Kejriwal government held an important meeting on Monday regarding increasing pollution. After the cabinet meeting, Gopal Rai said that pollution has increased in Delhi due to stagnation in the air. Delhi government is working on reducing pollution. Odd-even will be applicable in Delhi from 13 to 20 November. Amid rising levels of pollution in the national capital, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal called a high-level meeting on Monday in which many important decisions were taken. Environment Minister Gopal Rai and other concerned departments were present in the meeting.

The ban on construction work will continue

After the meeting, Delhi Environment Minister Gopal Rai addressed a press conference. While talking to the media, he gave information about the meeting and said that in view of air pollution, it has been decided to implement the odd-even vehicle system for a week from 13 to 20 November. According to the decision of Kejriwal government, the ban on BS 3 petrol and BS 4 diesel cars in Delhi will continue in future also. The ban on any kind of construction work will continue. Apart from this, now physical classes of 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th, and 11th will remain closed in Delhi till 10th November.

Decision on ordering work from home later

Delhi Environment Minister Gopal Rai said that in view of the poor air quality, schools have been instructed to teach students of all classes except 10th and 12th online till November 10. He said that the decision on ordering 50 percent employees in government and private offices in Delhi to work from home will be taken later.

It is noteworthy that the air of Delhi is becoming poisonous. The air quality in many parts of the national capital was recorded in ‘severe’ and ‘very severe’ category. At 9:05 in the morning, the air quality index (AQI) in Delhi was 437. AQI at Shadipur, ITO, Siri Fort, RK Puram, Punjabi Bagh, Delhi University centers was recorded at 438, 400, 430, 462, 469 and 454 respectively.
