He told that at around 9.30 am on Wednesday, police teams had an encounter with a group of 20 to 25 Maoists in Udanti Sanctuary, east of Saibin Cachar village. He said that on seeing the police teams, the Maoists started firing on them. The police also retaliated. The firing lasted for about half an hour. Taking advantage of the dense forest, the Maoists escaped from the camp. He told that two guns were also recovered.

In the Aranpur area of ​​the Naxal-affected Dantewada district, on Wednesday, Naxalites blew up a vehicle involved in the convoy of the security forces. Ten jawans of the District Reserve Guard and one driver died in this incident. Police officials said that tributes were paid to the martyred soldiers at Police Line Karli of Dantewada district headquarters. Chief Minister, State Home Minister Tamradhwaj Sahu, Director General of Police Ashok Juneja, MP Deepak Baij were present in the police line.
