Now you can do PG course in regular mode along with job in Bihar, know all the details before taking enrollment.

Patna. Now, job in government or private company will not be a hindrance in doing Post Graduate (PG). Under the new education policy 2020, students of all the universities of Bihar can enroll in more than one PG course simultaneously. One year PG can be done in regular mode for students doing four year undergraduate course under choice based credit course. Apart from this, approval has been given to do the course in regular mode along with the job. However, the timing of operation of job and regular class should be different.

It is mandatory to have separate timings for both the classes.

After the implementation of the National Education Policy-2020, the Curriculum and Credit Framework has been prepared by the University Grants Commission. Dr. Narayan Jha, Principal of Jhanjharpur College, said that students doing four-year graduation have been given permission to study one-year PG and students doing jobs have also been given permission to do the course in regular mode. For this, the time of job and class should be different as per the prescribed condition. There will be a two-year PG course for students doing three-year graduation and a one-year PG course for students doing four-year graduation with honors with research. For students pursuing three-year undergraduate course, the entire second year of two-year PG will be based on research activities.

Academic Bank of Credit will be established

There will be a total of two semesters in one year PG and four semesters in two year PG. Academic Bank of Credit for Higher Education will also be established. Students will get credits instead of marks. It will be deposited in this academic bank. If students study any additional subject, its credit will also be added to the bank. There will be a two-year PG course for students doing three-year graduation and a one-year PG course for students doing research with four-year graduation with honours. For students doing three-year undergraduate course, the entire second year of two-year PG will be based on research activities.

Why did the employees face problems?

After the implementation of the National Education Policy, the University Grants Commission has prepared the curriculum and credit framework in this regard. There will be one year PG for four-year graduates and two-year PG for those doing three-year graduation. Apart from this, the student can enroll in two regular courses. Till now there was no such provision. However, many students secretly studied regularly at two places. Later, when someone raised objection on this, the employees used to face problems. Registrar of Arrah University, Prof. Ran Vijay Kumar said that a proposal for starting new courses will be prepared and placed in the Academy Council and Syndicate.

Do regular courses despite job

Students from Bhojpur, Rohtas, Kaimur and Buxar districts are enrolled in Veer Kunwar Singh University. In this, the students who go into jobs after Intermediate. In this, many students secretly enroll in graduation and PG. There is a provision for not enrolling in regular courses while in service. Under the new education policy, the new order of UGC will prove to be a milestone, because the degrees of people got canceled due to enrollment in regular courses.

There will be freedom to change major and minor subjects

According to the curriculum framework prepared for PG, if students have kept major and minor subjects separate in graduation. Also, one can do PG from any of the major and minor subjects. Along with this, subjects can also be selected as per one’s interest. Students will also be given the freedom to change faculty under this framework.
