Hindustan Unilever will purchase tomatoes and make ketchup from them. That ketchup will be supplied to many other states of the country including Bihar. An agreement has been made between the Cooperative Department and the company. Tomatoes will be purchased by the company from the next season. It will be supplied to the Tomato Ketchup factory being set up in Lalganj, Vaishali. From tomato sauce to various tomato products, the company will be producing in Lalganj. It is being told that there will be demand for tomatoes on a large scale in this company.

Vegetables will be available online in Darbhanga, Muzaffarpur and Bhagalpur.

After Patna, the Cooperative Department is now preparing to open vegetable markets in Darbhanga, Muzaffarpur and Bhagalpur. Vegetables can be ordered online in Patna through www.tarkaarimart.in. So far, more than 30 thousand vegetables have been ordered online in Patna and their delivery has been done. Vegetables are being sold by forming a cooperative society on behalf of Patna Union, Tirhut Union and Mithila Union.
