Now the district administration will run a campaign regarding this and the district administration will get the name plate and mic or speaker removed. Police department and transport department will run a campaign regarding this. According to the Government Gazette and the rules of the Transport Department, installing any kind of board, name plate or mike on private vehicles is considered completely illegal. Vehicle owners are violating the guidelines issued by the government regarding this. The transport department and police will launch an investigation campaign against such people in the district. If caught violating the rules during investigation, not only will the name plate and speaker be removed, but a fine can also be imposed.

Inappropriate use of name plate

Public representatives of the three-tier Gram Panchayat, officials of various organizations and political parties and some common people held the mike on top of the vehicles and in front the District Councillor, Block Head, Mukhiya, BDC, Mukhiya Sangh President, Sarpanch, BDC members, Ward members and in the organization. The name plate of the incumbent is visible on the vehicles. Some people are also installing name plates, who are representatives of public representatives or their family members. Some people, accustomed to arbitrariness, are not shying away from even installing hooters and mikes. Some people, who put unauthorized name plates on vehicles, are trying to prove their worth by throwing dust in the eyes of the administration.

DTO Kumar Vivekananda said that according to the guidelines issued by the government and the department, it is illegal to install name plates related to mic and designation on any private vehicles. He said that a campaign will be launched in the entire district against those who violate the rules. During the campaign, the vehicles which are caught having name plates related to mic and designation will be taken down and fine will be collected. Departmental officials have been instructed to conduct checking operations on various roads of the district.

DTO said that according to the guidelines issued by the department, other than judicial officers, government officials and honorable public representatives cannot put name plates on vehicles. The government has made rules for everyone from government officials to senior officials of public sector undertakings. All officers of the state government involved in law and order maintenance are allowed to put up boards. These include officers from BDO, CO to Deputy Development Commissioner level. All DTOs, RTOs and District Mining Officers are also allowed to install boards. But all government officials are also not allowed to put up boards.

According to the notification issued by the Transport Department, name plates can be installed only on government vehicles. There will be boards of the same size on all government vehicles. But, their color is determined differently. Whereas the vehicles of law and order maintenance authority and enforcement authority will have blue colored boards. The size of all boards will be 6 inches by 18 inches and letters will be written on it in white color or brass. According to the guidelines issued by the Transport Department, writing Police, Press, Army, Court, District Administration etc. in front of the vehicles has also been declared illegal. Government, administration and ministry also cannot be written. In the notification of the state government, a list of vehicles and officers who can put name plates on the front of the vehicle has also been issued.
