In an interview with Mumbai Mirror, Arbaaz shared that when Abhinav narrated the script to him, he asked why he was not giving him the lead role of the headliner police. The actor said, “But he saw me more as a fly than Chulbul.
Arbaaz further said that the director wanted to cast Randeep Hooda or Irrfan Khan for the lead role. Since none of them were finalised, Arbaaz said, ‘What if we get Salman as Pandey ji?’ Upon hearing about this, Abhinav immediately got excited and things finally fell into place.
