On Wednesday, NIA has seized the house of Ravindra Ganjhu, the top Naxalite of Naxalite organization CPI-Maoist, situated in Banjhitola under Chandwa police station area of Latehar district. According to NIA officials, the house was constructed illegally by Ravindra Ganjhu. He had this house constructed through his close associate Raju Sahu alias Raju Kumar. NIA’s research has also confirmed that Ravindra Ganjhu had collected levy from contractors and businessmen for the construction of houses. Ravindra Ganjhu is a regional committee member of the organization.
Jharkhand government has kept a reward of Rs 15 lakh for his arrest, while NIA has kept a reward of Rs 5 lakh. According to the information, the police had launched an operation in Pesharar police station area of Lohardaga district on the information about the gathering of top Naxalites. Police had recovered weapons during the operation. In the year 2022, NI had registered a case and started investigation in the matter.
