NIA raid, one arrested, Rs 1.30 crore seized along with weapons, know what is the matter

Ranchi: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Thursday raided several places in Bihar in the case of attack in Tetriyakhad coal mine under Balumath police station of Latehar in the year 2020. Raids were conducted at two places each in Bhagalpur and Purnia and one place in Madhepura. During this time, Bhagalpur resident Shankar Yadav, close to Aman Sahu, has been arrested by the NIA. During the search of the suspects’ premises, five mobile phones, one hard disk, one rifle with magazine, one pistol, two magazines and 63 rounds of ammunition of various calibers were seized. Apart from this, the NIA team also seized Rs 1 crore 30 lakh in cash along with incriminating documents.

In the year 2021, NIA took over the case from Jharkhand Police and registered RC-01/2021/NIA/RNC. NIA has so far filed three charge sheets against a total of 24 accused in the case. This case was originally registered at Balumath police station in December 2020. In this, criminal gang operators Sujit Sinha, Aman Sahu and others were involved in the attack on the coal mine.

According to NIA investigation, Aman Sahu gang was involved in many sensational crimes in Jharkhand. In which he was involved in firing on a DSP, attack on businessmen and contractors and extortion. The gang had also developed links with various breakaway Naxalite organizations and other organized criminal gangs outside Jharkhand. Another associate of Aman Sahu, Pramod Yadav, resident of Madhepura, had earlier given shelter to Pradeep Ganjhu, an accused related to the case. He was also wanted by the state police. There was a reward of three lakh rupees on him.

Shankar used to invest Aman Sahu’s money in real estate

According to NIA investigation, an associate of Aman Sahu has been identified as Shankar Yadav of Bhagalpur district. He was involved in investing and channelizing the money collected by Aman Sahu in the real estate sector. He was arrested after Rs 1 crore 30 lakh in cash was recovered from him.
