NIA arrested three ISIS terrorists including Shahnawaz of Jharkhand, reward was Rs 3 lakh

Mo Shahnawaz, the most wanted terrorist of the terrorist organization Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS), was arrested by the NIA team from Jaitpur area of ​​Delhi on Monday. His two associates Arshad Warsi were caught from Moradabad and Mohd Rizwan Ashraf from Lucknow. NIA had declared a reward of Rs 3 lakh on Shahnawaz. According to NIA, material used in making IED was recovered from them.

The accused admitted during interrogation that they had conducted recce of various areas of Western and Southern India. He wanted to establish his base in the Western Ghats region. Officials said that all three have completed their engineering studies. Mohd Shahnawaz, an engineer by profession, full name is Saishi Uzzama Alam alias Abdullah. He is originally a resident of Pelawal in Hazaribagh district of Jharkhand. These days he lived with his family near Bright Future School in Pune. A few days ago, after escaping from the custody of Pune Police, he was hiding in Jaitpur, Delhi.

Shahnawaz’s name first came up in a bike theft in Pune. The police then arrested two people, while Shahnawaz escaped. Investigation revealed that these people worked in the sleeper cell of ‘ISIS’. Considering the seriousness of the matter, the case was handed over to Maharashtra ATS. ATS had also arrested some people. Later the case was transferred to NIA.
