NIA and IT raid the house of land businessman Shankar Yadav in Bhagalpur, property worth Rs 1.32 crore recovered so far

Bhagalpur. After getting connection with Jharkhand’s big gangster Aman Sahu alias Aman Sav Gang, on Thursday morning NIA (National Investigation Agency) reached the house of land businessman Shankar Yadav located in Barari Housing Colony. Along with the NIA team, the Income Tax Department team was also there. This raid has been conducted on charges of belonging to a big gang and using crime money in his business as well as possessing disproportionate assets.

According to information received from sources, property worth about Rs 1.32 crore has been recovered during the raid till around 8 pm on Thursday night. Apart from this, many documents related to Aman Sahu gang are also in the hands of NIA. However, this has not been officially confirmed. During the raid, discussions gained momentum when the raiding team called for a note counting machine at Shankar Yadav’s house.

A seven-member team had arrived to raid

In the said raid, along with NIA officers and officials, a seven-member team of the Income Tax Department from Patna and Ranchi had come to conduct the raid. After the news of the raid came out, it became a topic of discussion among the housing colony as well as the land traders of the city and people associated with Shankar Yadav.

According to local people, till a few years ago Shankar Yadav used to run a cement shop. After this he started contracting and gradually saved money and opened a showroom of Sonalika tractor on Approach Road. After this, Shankar Yadav’s behavior changed and his status increased considerably. Within no time, he started buying and selling land in many famous apartments and areas of the city including the housing colony.

A few years ago, Shankar Yadav had purchased a large land in Gopalpur of Zero Mile and started construction work on it. Because the said building had two underground floors, it had become a topic of discussion in the city.
