Tourists enjoy boating and motor boats with their friends and family members and also offer prayers at the Maa Panch Bahini temple adjacent to the dam. The southern end of the dam is a favorite spot for picnickers. Katua Kocha, the southern end of Patratu Dam, is a favorite spot for picnickers. Here the villagers have set up attractive swings, boating motor boats and various types of food stalls for the tourists including children.
This appeal was made to the tourists
SDPO Dr. Virendra Kumar Chaudhary said that the administration is ready to make security arrangements for the tourists coming to Patratu. He told that for the New Year, additional police force has been called from the district including all the police stations of Patratu area. Entry of heavy vehicles has been banned during the day. Police will be deployed on the routes from Valley Road to Patratu Lake Resort and Ramgarh. An appeal has been made to those celebrating picnic to enjoy the New Year peacefully with family and friends. Do not bring alcohol to the dam area.
