The police have said that cyber criminals used to roam from village to village and take fingerprints from the beneficiaries in the name of getting ration cards made under the government’s public welfare scheme, old age pension near any bank office. After this, by adding glue liquid from the blue gun, preparing fake finger prints, he used to withdraw money with the help of various techniques with the help of Aadhaar linked to the bank account.
Two cyber criminals arrested from Nawada
The matter was disclosed by the police when a woman filed an application in the cyber police station complaining about fraudulent withdrawal of about eight thousand rupees from her bank account. On that application, on the instructions of SP Abrish Rahul, action was started by constituting a SIT team under the leadership of Deputy Superintendent of Cyber Police cum Station House Officer Priya Jyoti. After this, two cyber criminals have been arrested through various techniques. Who seemed to be brother-in-law in the relationship.
Laptop, mobile recovered with 500 fake finger print samples
The arrested criminal is Hriday Kumar, son of Sideshwar Prasad of Khargu Bigha of Kadiraganj OP area and Raja Kumar, son of Rajesh Prasad of Gandi village of Akbarpur police station area. It is surprising that Hriday Kumar is only seventh pass in terms of studies. Cyber police have recovered about 500 fake finger print samples, a laptop, four mobiles and several documents including finger print scanner machine from Khargu Bigha on the trail of the arrested accused. About four lakh 54 thousand 500 rupees cash has been recovered during the search.
Criminals used to take Aadhaar numbers and fingerprints by setting up stalls
SP Ambrish Rahul told in the police office that a new method of cyber crime has been inaugurated, which is an achievement of cyber police. According to the SP, in the name of getting the benefits of various public welfare schemes of the government from innocent people, he used to take Aadhaar numbers and finger prints by roaming around villages and setting up stalls near the block office. By preparing fake fingerprints through various techniques of this fingerprint, he used to empty the deposits of the bank account linked to Aadhaar. Two people have been arrested in this case. On whose spot hundreds of fake fingerprints including scanner machine and other material have been recovered. About four and a half lakh rupees have been seized. That’s why SP has appealed to other people not to give Aadhaar number or finger print to any unknown person. Give finger print by going to the bank or any other office, otherwise different types of cyber criminals will withdraw the amount from your account.
