Gurugram: A new uproar has arisen in Nuh district of Haryana. This chaos broke out when some unknown suspects pelted stones at a religious procession organized by a family in Panduram Chowk area of ​​the city. However, media reports suggest that children were among those pelting stones. Nearly women were injured in this incident. This incident happened on Thursday. After this tension prevailed in the city. Police say that in protest against this incident, shops and business establishments in markets across the city were closed and businessmen demanded police action against those pelting stones.

Stone pelting during well worship

Police say that on Thursday, Ram Avtar, resident of Panduram Chowk, Nuh, and his family had organized a well worship ceremony. Ram Avtaar’s family and their relatives had left the house to go to the nearby Shiva temple. At the same time, some unknown people pelted stones at his family members. Police say that about 20 people, including Ram Avtaar’s family and relatives, were involved in the well worship ceremony. When these people started passing in front of the madrasa at around 8 pm on Thursday night, stones were pelted at them. After this there was chaos and people started looking for places to escape. Three women were injured in this stampede, who were taken to the Community Health Center of Nuh for treatment.

Police deployed in the area after the incident

Police said that after this incident, a large number of police personnel were deployed in the area as a precaution. After inspecting the spot, Nuh Superintendent of Police Narendra Bijarnia said that the madrassa cleric said that some students of the school were involved in the incident, but he denied that they had pelted stones. At the same time, Nuh Police Public Relations Officer (PRO) Krishna Kumar said that the Madrasa employees have accepted that the minor children have accidentally carried out this incident. However, those employees also say that those children were playing with slippers. Madrasa employees said that while playing, the children’s slippers fell on the women going to worship the well. However, on the complaint of family members, the police have registered an FIR. He said that the police is investigating every aspect.

FIR registered against unknown people

Police officials said that on the complaint of Ram Avtar, sections 148 (rioting, armed with deadly weapon), 149 (unlawful assembly), 323 (voluntarily causing hurt), 341 (wrongdoing) of the Indian Penal Code were registered against unknown suspects at Nuh police station. An FIR has been registered under the Prevention of Atrocities) and Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act. He said that after this incident a meeting was held between Hindu and Muslim communities and now the situation is under control.

VHP condemned the incident

On the other hand, Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) on Friday condemned the alleged incident of stone pelting on Hindu Dalit women in Nuh and said that an environment is being created for religious conversion. Addressing the media, VHP state unit president and former judge Pawan Kumar alleged that clerics of some madrassas ‘brainwashed’ innocent people who pelted stones at Dalit women during the Hindu ritual of ‘Kuan Pujan’. He termed the incident as condemnable.
