NEET UG 2024: The craze for NEET exam is increasing year after year in the country as well as in Bihar. Every year the number of people applying for NEET UG from Bihar is increasing rapidly. This year all previous records for NEET UG 2024 have been broken. This time 1 lakh 39 thousand 398 students from Bihar have registered. Whereas last year, 1,21,647 students from Bihar appeared in NEET UG 2023. At the same time, this year a record 23,81,833 lakh students from across the country will appear in the examination held on May 5 for NEET UG 2024. About 25 lakh students had registered for NEET UG, but more than 23.81 lakh students deposited the fine fee. Last year there were 20,87,449 applications for NEET UG.
NEET UG 2024: 6000 seats increased
There have been more than three lakh applications for NEET UG 2024 compared to last year. GOAL Assistant Director Ranjay Singh said that this year there has been an increase of only 6000 seats for MBBS in government medical colleges. This time there will be 42.2 candidates vying for one seat. This is the lowest in the last eight years.
NEET UG 2024: Highest number of registrations
According to statistics, this is the highest ever registration for admission in undergraduate medical courses. This time more girls than boys have registered for NEET UG. Gol Institute MD Bipin Singh said that this time a total of 23 lakh 81 thousand 833 applications have been received. In which there are more than 13 lakh girls and more than 10 lakh boys. Whereas 24 candidates have registered in third gender category. At the same time, this time 1 lakh 39 thousand 398 students from Bihar have registered. Of the more than 23 lakh students who have registered for NEET UG, more than 10 lakh are OBC NCL. While six lakh are from general category, 3.5 lakh are from Scheduled Caste (SC), 1.8 lakh from General-EWS and another 1.5 lakh from ST category.
NEET UG 2024: Bihar at number seven
If we look at the state wise application figures for NEET UG 2024, 1,39,398 students have applied from Bihar. Maximum 3,39,125 applications have been received from Uttar Pradesh in NEET. Whereas Maharashtra is at second place with 279904 applications. 1,96,139 applications have been received from Rajasthan. This is at number three. At the same time, Tamil Nadu is at fourth position with 155216 applications and Karnataka is at fifth position with 154210 applications. Kerala is at sixth position with 1,44,949 applications and Bihar is at seventh position with 1,39,398 applications.
