Simdega: NCC unit took out Prabhat Pheri in Simdega College on the birth anniversary of Gandhi and Shastri. It was conducted under the leadership of Principal Dr. Ramkumar Prasad and NCC officer Dr. Jitesh Paswan. Prabhatferi started from the college campus and reached the Gandhi statue site located at Gandhi Maidan via the main road, where garlands were placed on the statue of Gandhiji. After this the rally reached back to the college premises, where all the people took the oath of non-violence. On the occasion, a speech competition on the relevance of non-violence was organized under the chairmanship of Principal Dr. Ramkumar Prasad. In this, cadets Santoshi Kumari, Priyanshu Kumar and Sonia Kumari etc. expressed their views. Dr. Brajesh Priyadarshi, Prof. Reema Kujur along with NCC under officers Lalit Singh, Umesh Nayak, Ritwik, Santoshi Kumari, Riya Kumari, Yakub etc. played a major role in making the program successful. Former Prime Minister Shastri was also remembered in the ceremony.
