Police and security forces of West Singhbhum once again on Saturday, a total of six IEDs, including four of six kg and two of five kg, planted by Naxalites in the wild and hilly area around the road going from Patatarob to Tumbahaka village of Kolhan forest area under Tonto police station. The bomb has been recovered. Along with this, six spike holes with iron rods and arrows have also been recovered by pitting on the way. These explosives and spike hall have been destroyed on the spot.
165 IED bombs recovered in five days
Naxalites had planted IED pressure bomb and spike hall in the forest with the aim of harming the police and security forces. West Singhbhum district police and security forces have recovered and destroyed a total of 165 IED pressure bombs and 26 spike holes so far in this campaign against Naxalites which is being run for the last five days. Confirming this, Superintendent of Police Ashutosh Shekhar has said that this campaign against Naxalites will continue.
Continuous success in search operation
Let us tell you that the top leaders of banned CPI Maoist Naxalite organization Misir Besra, Anmol, Mochu, Chaman, Kande, Ajay Mahato and Sagen Angaria, roaming in the border area of Tonto and Goilkera of Kolhan forest area, have been attacked by police and security forces in the past. The campaign was being run from 11 January. District police and security forces have started from May 27 in the border areas of Tumbahaka village and Anjadbeda under Tonto police station and Kuida and Maradiri villages under Goilkera police station. Under this campaign, the police are getting IED pressure bombs and spike holes planted by Naxalites. Apart from the District Police, Jharkhand Jaguar, Cobra Battalion 209, 203, personnel of CRPF 197,193, 174, 134, 60 and 07 battalions were also involved in this campaign.
