On Monday, during the search operation in the forested areas of Lutua police station area of Gaya district, the police got a big success. In this campaign, a rifle, 100 bullets and a large number of explosives and about 13,800 detonators were seized. CRPF C 159 Battalion, STF Bankebazar, Cobra 205 and District Police personnel were involved in this campaign.
The search operation was conducted by forming a joint raid team
In this regard, Gaya’s SSP Ashish Bharti has told that the security forces had received secret information about the hiding of many objectionable items including arms, ammunition by Naxalites in the forested area of Pandra mountain of Lutua police station area. With that weapon and explosive material, the Naxalites were in the process of carrying out some major incident. Based on the information, a joint raiding team of police and CRPF was formed and a search operation was launched.
100 cartridges and three IEDs recovered
A rifle and 100 cartridges hidden by the Naxalites were recovered by the raiding party in the forest area of Pandra mountain under Lutua police station. After this, an IED was recovered from the foothills at the other end of Pandra mountain, which was destroyed at the same place. Two more IEDs were recovered at the other end of the hill.
Many items including 13,800 detonators recovered
During the raid on this hill, caves connected to each other were found, in which five plastic sacks and a backpack bag were also recovered after a thorough investigation. Out of this, 13,800 detonators (46 packets, 300 in each packet) in four plastic bags, four bundles of cordex wire, a black uniform and an ammunition pouch were recovered. All the goods were also destroyed at the same place. Apart from this, two basic phones, two walkie-talkie sets have also been recovered.
Action being taken by registering a case
SSP Ashish Bharti told that further action is being taken by registering a case in this regard. This is a big success of the district police and paramilitary forces against Naxalites, Naxalites were involved in carrying out some major incident. A major incident has been averted because the security department was informed about it on time.
SLR rifle with 104 cartridges recovered from Naxalite area of Madanpur
On the other hand, last week, the Naxalites who were preparing to carry out a big incident in Pachrukhia forest of Naxal-affected Madanpur block of Aurangabad district were shocked by the police. The police reached the information about the gathering and preparation of the Naxalites and destroyed the plans of the Naxalites. Not only this, he was forced to run away after saving his life. Police has recovered 104 cartridges including an SLR rifle from the said place.
Police raided on secret information
The police had received a secret information that preparations were being made to carry out the incident by Naxalites in Pachrukhia and its surrounding area of Madanpur police station area. Based on the information, a team of CRPF, STF and local police led by 205 COBRA assistant commander Robert Hawkip, under the joint direction of him and the COBRA 205 commander, on Wednesday raided Pachhrukhia, Karib Dobha, Bandi, Sahiya Pahar, Kasmar Than, Do Muhan. And in its surrounding area, a joint search operation was conducted against the Naxalites. On seeing the police team, there was chaos among the Naxalites and they ran away after saving their lives. An SLR rifle and 104 cartridges have been recovered during this operation.
The forest of Pachrukhia has been a safe zone for Naxalites.
