Bengabad (Giridih), Ashok Sharma: On the instructions of Giridih Superintendent of Police Deepak Kumar Sharma, Bengabad police arrested a Naxalite who was out of jail on bail from Luppi village on Thursday in connection with the case of demanding extortion and ransom. After getting information about the arrest, the police team from Chakai police station of Jamui district reached Bengabad police station and took the Naxalite safely with them. A case of demanding extortion from a cattle trader has been registered against the arrested Naxalite Musan Das alias Mahendra Das in Chakai police station, whereas he was in jail after a case was registered against him in Naxalite cases also in Chakai police station. After being out on bail for a few years, he was again active in demanding ransom and extortion.

A case was registered under case number 66/15 in Chakai police station due to the connection of Musan Das alias Mahendra Das, son of late Radheshwar Das, resident of Luppi village of Bengabad police station area, with the Naxalite organization. Musan Das has been arrested in that case and has gone to jail. After coming out of jail on bail, he again got involved in the business of extortion and ransom from businessmen in the name of the organization. He used to collect extortion money by stopping vehicles carrying cattle. In this regard, a case was registered against him in Chakai police station under case number 218/22 on charges of extortion and ransom demand. The accused was absconding since the case was registered. Here, the police is searching for the suspects by running a special campaign regarding the elections. In this sequence Musan Das was also arrested. On the instructions of SP Deepak Kumar Sharma, Bengabad police station incharge Jitendra Kumar Singh along with his team reached Luppi village on Thursday morning and as per secret information, conducted a raid and arrested the absconding Naxalite. Here, on receiving information about the capture of the absconding Naxalite, Inspector Lal Bahadur Singh of Chakai police station and police station in-charge Rakesh Kumar along with the soldiers reached Bengabad police station in the afternoon and took him with them.
Naxalites have an old relationship with Luppi
