Gomiya (Bokaro), Nageshwar: An encounter took place for hours between CRPF and Naxalites in Gidhoniya forest adjacent to Chute Panchayat of Bokaro. On Tuesday (February 13) at around 6 am, there was an encounter between security forces and Naxalites between Chaiyanatad and Dandara at the foothills of Jhumra mountain. There was firing from both sides in the forest, this encounter lasted for about 6 hours. The area where the encounter took place falls in Chatrochatti police station area of Bokaro.
According to information received from sources, the police had received information that a squad of Naxalites was roaming in the forested area near Chainyatand. On this information, the team of CRPF 154B and Cobra Battalion 203 surrounded the area. Seeing security forces in the area on Tuesday morning nakalsi Started firing from the hill side. Retaliating, the security forces team also opened fire on the Naxalites. The encounter between the two continued for about 6 hours. Then seeing the increasing police raid, the Naxalites ran away.
Security forces are engaged in search operation even amidst rain
It is being told that during the encounter there was intermittent firing from both sides. It was raining along with thunder in the area. Nevertheless the search operation of the soldiers continued. Although the ongoing search operation against Naxalites is being disrupted due to rain, the police is still engaged in the operation.
