If Babuji was around he would be very happy for me

Reflecting on the recent death of his father, Pankaj, who won the Best Supporting Actor award for Laxman Utekar’s Mimi, said in an interview that it is unfortunately a time of loss and grief for me. If Babuji was around, he would have been very happy for me. When I got the mention of the National Award for the first time, he was very proud and happy. I dedicate this National Award to him and his spirit. I am what I am today because of him. I don’t have words at the moment, but I am happy and thankful to the team. Kriti has also won the Best Actress award, so many congratulations to her. Pankaj had earlier won the Special Mention Award in 2018 for Amit R Masukar’s Newton.

Parallel attacks the evils of the society

Parallel made during the lockdown has been declared the best film in Maithili language. This is the second time when a Maithili film has received this award. Earlier, the film Mithila Makhan directed by Nitin Chandra had received this award. The producer and director of the film have expressed happiness over receiving the National Award for Parallel. Parallel is a philosophical compilation of four difficult stories

If you do good for others then it will be good for you too, this film has tried to give this message. Talking about the film, artist Kundan Kumar Verma said that when man violates all limits through his evil deeds, how the unknown power of the parallel realm starts manifesting. The film is a philosophical-cum-horror ‘anthology’ of four difficult stories entangled with the simple philosophy of life and ‘karma’.

Story written in the Corona era

Niraj Mishra says that many evils have come in the society and when these evils cross the limits, then nature shows its colors. During the Corona period, when the whole world was facing a new crisis, the story of this film came to my mind and then my team worked hard to bring it to the screen. Anurag Thakur, Priyanshu Rajguru, Kundan Kumar Verma and Shashwat Anand have acted in this film. The first screening of this film took place at Mona Cinema in Patna on the occasion of Bihar Day.
