Meanwhile, Director General of Police (DGP) Umesh Mishra said that the attackers entered Gogamedi’s house on the pretext of talking and after talking for some time, they started firing. According to him, the guard of Gogamedi also fired back. Umesh Mishra told that later both the attackers also shot Naveen Shekhawat who came with them. According to him, Gogamedi and Naveen died in this incident while their acquaintance Ajit was seriously injured.
Rohit Godara gang took responsibility
According to the DGP, to search for the accused, the police is raiding possible hideouts by imposing strict blockades. Appealing to the people to maintain patience and peace, he has instructed the police to exercise special vigilance and increase security. He told, “Rohit Godara gang has taken responsibility for this incident. Keeping this in mind, people in contact with miscreants are being identified and raids are being conducted continuously in the neighboring districts and Bikaner division.

He expressed confidence that the police team will soon be successful in arresting the criminals. Along with this, supporters have also warned of a state-wide strike.

After the murder of Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi, supporters have protested in Jaipur, Jodhpur, Alwar, Churu, Udaipur demanding the arrest of the criminals. After the incident, Governor Kalraj Mishra directed the police to take strict and effective action against the criminals. According to Raj Bhavan spokesperson, the Governor took factual information from Director General of Police Umesh Mishra over phone and also gave instructions to ensure law and order at all levels in the state. The Governor said that whoever the culprit is, strict action should be taken against him. Rohit Godara, associated with gangster Lawrence Bishnoi gang, has taken responsibility for Gogamedi’s murder in a post viral on social media. He has said that Gogamedi was supporting and empowering his gang’s enemies.
