Muzaffarnagar School Incident: Taking cognizance of the incident, the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) has issued a notice to the Chief Secretary and Director General of Police in connection with the beating of a student in Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh.
The Commission has asked these two senior officers of UP to file a detailed report of the entire incident in four weeks. In this, information has been sought regarding the action taken on the guilty teacher, the current status of the FIR and compensation to the victim student. Along with this, steps have also been asked to be taken to prevent the recurrence of such incidents in future.

After the video of this incident went viral on social media, there was a demand for action against the school management and the teacher. The Commission has considered this episode as a serious violation of human rights. According to the information given in the notice, the accused teacher has not been arrested yet. Case registered against female teacher
A case was registered against female teacher Tripta Tyagi under sections 323 (punishment for voluntarily causing hurt) and 504 (intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace) of the Indian Penal Code on the basis of a complaint by the victim’s family. was recorded. Tyagi said in his defense that the video has been tampered with to give a communal color to the matter.

Basic Shiksha Adhikari (BSA) Shubham Shukla told the media that the father of the victim student does not want his son to continue his studies in Neha Public School. BSA said that the block education officer had talked to the student in which he had expressed his desire to study in the government primary school of the village itself, so he would be admitted in the primary school, provided his family was ready to do so.
Show cause notice issued to the school
Along with this, a show cause notice has been issued to the school administration in connection with the incident. In this, a warning has been given to end the recognition of the school if it is not answered. BSA said that the school has been given one month’s time to give its explanation in this matter. The school will not remain closed and normal teaching activities will continue. There are three teachers in the school.
When asked whether female teacher Tripta Tyagi would teach now or not, the BSA said it depends on the police action against her. Refusing to issue any order to close Neha Public School, BSA said that only show cause notice has been issued to the school administration. If it is a matter of closing the school now, then only the school administration will take this decision.
