Patna. With the first rain, the QRT (Quick Response Team) of all the zones of Patna Municipal Corporation will become active. Patna Municipal Commissioner Animesh Parashar gave several other instructions to the office bearers in the mock drill organized late on Saturday night to take stock of pre-monsoon preparations. These included continuous monitoring of drainage pre-monsoon, monitoring of inlet and outlet at all DPS, monitoring of water flow and obstruction in access to water of drains, alternative measures for temporary drainage and checking the condition of pumps. In the mock drill starting from Boring Road intersection at 11 pm, the officials took stock of the cleanliness situation by reaching the sump house along with the main roads, market and streets of the city.

Mock drill was organized simultaneously in all the zones of Patna Municipal Corporation including Nutan Rajdhani, Bankipur, Azimabad, Patna City and Patliputra Kankarbagh. In this, the executive officer of the zone checked the washing of the road by machines, garbage lifting at night and the inlet outlet of the sump house.

Patna Municipal Corporation has appealed to the residents of the city to complain on 155304 in case of any problem related to drainage, cleanliness, door to door garbage collection. The problem will be resolved within a fixed period.

A meeting will be held on 26th regarding preparations to deal with water logging during rains in Patna city. DM Dr. Chandrashekhar Singh along with officials of various departments will review the preparations made by them. In the meeting, problems related to digging of roads under Namami Project and Metro, blowing of drains, construction of flyovers and roads, gas pipeline and other points will be discussed. Patna Municipal Corporation, Budco, Namami Gange Project, Metro, Bridge Construction Corporation, Bihar State Road Development Corporation, executive officers of all zones of the corporation, all SDOs and other officers will be involved in the meeting.
