Lucknow: After Mukhtar Ansari’s death, Samajwadi Party leaders Dharmendra Yadav and Balram Yadav reached Ghazipur residence on Monday. He also offered flowers on Mukhtar’s grave. Both the leaders also visited Mukhtar Ansari’s residence in Muhammadabad. He met his family members and elder brother there and expressed his condolences. After the news of SP leaders reaching Ghazipur Muhammadabad, a crowd of SP supporters started gathering there. After this, police force was also deployed there.
Bihar leaders also arrived to pay tribute
It is noteworthy that after the death of Mukhtar Ansari, Shahabuddini’s son and Samajwadi Party leader Ambika Chaudhary had also arrived from Bihar to attend his funeral. AIMIM leader Asaduddin Owaisi had reached Ghazipur on Sunday. After this, on Monday, two SP leaders came to pay tribute to Mukhtar Ansari. Mukhtar Ansari’s elder brother Afzal Ansari is also a candidate from Ghazipur Lok Sabha seat from Samajwadi Party. Samajwadi Party national president Akhilesh Yadav has not yet reached Mukhtar’s house to pay homage. There are speculations that he will also reach Ghazipur soon.
