More than 2000 new Panchayat buildings will be built in Bihar at a cost of Rs 6010 crore, these facilities will be available

A total of 14 proposals have been approved in the meeting held on Tuesday under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. Nitish Kumar has opened the treasury for the Panchayati Raj Department. New Panchayat government buildings will be built in 2165 gram panchayats of the state. For this, the government has approved a total of Rs 6010 crore. Of the new Panchayat government buildings, 1082 buildings will be built in flood affected areas while 1083 buildings will be built in normal areas.

8053 gram panchayat in bihar

Additional Chief Secretary of the Cabinet Department, Dr. S. Siddharth said that there are 8053 gram panchayats in the state. In these, Panchayat government buildings are to be constructed phase wise. So far, approval has been received for construction of 4236 Panchayat government buildings. He informed that the design of Panchayat government buildings has also been prepared.

These facilities will be available

Each Panchayat Government building has seating areas for elected representatives and Panchayat level personnel, court room of Gram Kachari, space for preservation of records, stores, hall for meetings of Panchayat Standing Committees, reception hall for citizens, important personnel. For the residential section, provision has been made for service centres, stores, pantries and toilets to provide computerized services.

How much will it cost to construct a Panchayat building?

It may be noted that provision for two additional big halls has also been made in flood affected areas. In such a situation, a total of Rs 2 crore 86 lakh 30 thousand will be spent on the construction of every Panchayat government building of 8924 square feet in the flood affected areas. Panchayat government building will be constructed in 6600 square feet in common areas at a cost of Rs 1 crore 99 lakh 92 thousand.

Engineering students will get internship of Rs 10 thousand

Students studying in 38 government engineering colleges of the state have been approved for internship in physical mode. Students of seventh semester of four-year B.Tech course will be given a lump sum amount of Rs 10,000 in exchange for eight weeks of internship. Interested students of seventh semester will be given internship on priority basis in projects run by the state government.

Students will be able to do internship in these departments

Apart from corporations, boards, societies, students doing internship will be able to do internship in organizations like Road Construction Department, Building Construction Department, Urban Development and Housing Department, PHED, Water Resources Department, Education Department, Health Department and Energy Department. Students doing internship will have to prepare a project report during the internship. After submitting the complete project report and evaluating it by the committee constituted at the institute level, the amount will be transferred online to the student’s bank account.

Will have to apply online

The student doing the internship will have to arrange for the laptop himself, while the identified departments, corporations, boards and societies will provide internet at the workplace and other necessary items for training. Students of seventh semester will have to apply on the online portal being developed.
