Sales of hybrid cars are increasing at a slow pace
The report said that before overtaking electric cars in terms of sales in the last three months, the sales pace of hybrid cars remained very slow in the financial year 2023-24. According to the report, about 14,400 units of hybrid cars were sold in the quarter ending June, while about 25,200 electric cars were sold in the domestic market during the same period. After this, the difference in sales of hybrid cars compared to electric cars decreased rapidly in the month of September. During this month, while car companies sold 23,900 units of electric cars, about 22,000 units of hybrid cars were sold. However, according to the data of the automobile industry, after the month of September, there was a faster increase in the sales of hybrid cars as compared to electric cars.
