Here on Saturday night, due to a property dispute, an uncle brutally murdered his nephew and his pregnant wife by slitting their throats with a knife. After committing the crime, he directly reached Bhagatpur police station. Here he told the policemen to arrest me. I have come back after killing two people. As soon as information about the incident was received, all the officers including DIG Muniraj ji and SSC Hemraj Meena reached the spot. Police have sent the body for postmortem. At present the police have taken the accused into custody and are interrogating him.
The entire family of the accused was involved in this incident – brother-in-law of the deceased
This entire incident took place in Parshupura village of Bhagatpur. Murder accused Prashant Thakur is a teacher in a private school. There was a dispute going on with his nephew Varun alias Golu regarding property. Due to which he slit the throats of Varun and his wife Babita with a knife. Deceased Varun was married to Babita, a resident of Badaun, two years ago. The deceased Varun used to work in a sugar mill. The deceased’s brother-in-law, Pramod, said that it was not a double but a triple murder. Pramod told that Varun alias Golu’s wife Babita was five months pregnant.
Strict action should be taken against the culprits – brother-in-law of the deceased
He further told that accused Prashant has destroyed his brother-in-law’s entire family. Varun’s parents have already died. After the death of Varun and his wife, now the entire property has been claimed by accused Prashant Thakur. That is why he has taken this step. Prashant Thakur has not committed this incident alone, rather his entire family is involved in it. To save the rest of the family, the accused himself went to the police station and surrendered. He has demanded the police to investigate the matter thoroughly and take strict action against the culprits.
SSP formed five teams
As soon as information about the incident was received, SSP Hemraj Meena reached the spot and interrogated the accused Prashant Thakur. After inspecting the spot, the captain called the forensic team on the spot. The forensic team has collected evidence from the spot. SSP has formed five teams under the leadership of SP Rural for complete disclosure of the case. Anyone suspected of being involved in this incident is being strictly interrogated.
Brutally stabbed with a knife – DIG
DIG Muniraj ji told that both the families lived in the same premises. There used to be frequent disputes between the two. After a fight over some issue on Saturday night, the uncle killed his nephew and his wife by stabbing them with a knife. Many knife wounds were found on the bodies of the deceased. Police have sent both the bodies for postmortem. While the accused has been taken into custody.
