At present, the south-west monsoon is passing through Lucknow in Uttar Pradesh, Satna in Madhya Pradesh, Nagpur, Parbhani, Pune, and Alibaug in Maharashtra. In the next two-three days, conditions have become ripe for withdrawal of monsoon from some parts of Eastern Uttar Pradesh, Eastern Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, apart from Jharkhand, Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Telangana and some other parts of Maharashtra. The Meteorological Department has said that during the last 24 hours, light to moderate rainfall occurred at some places in Jharkhand. Monsoon remained normal. Maximum rainfall was recorded in Maharo of Dumka. There was 37.6 mm rainfall here in 24 hours. The highest temperature was recorded in Chaibasa, the district headquarters of West Singhbhum and the lowest minimum temperature was recorded near the airport of the capital Ranchi. The maximum temperature in Chaibasa was 33.4 degrees centigrade while the minimum temperature in Ranchi was 22.5 degrees centigrade.
