Shock to Arvind Kejriwal from High Court, did not get relief from arrest

Delhi High Court had earlier refused to give any protection to Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal from punitive action in the money laundering case related to excise policy. A bench of Justices Suresh Kumar Kait and Manoj Jain has listed Kejriwal’s application seeking protection for further consideration on April 22. His main petition challenging the summons will also be heard on the same day (April 22). It is known that Kejriwal had approached the court against the ED summons. It is known that Kejriwal has repeatedly refused to appear before the ED, terming the summons as illegal.

The case pertains to alleged corruption and money laundering in the formulation and implementation of the Excise Policy of the Delhi Government for 2021-22. This policy was later canceled. AAP leaders Manish Sisodia and Sanjay Singh are in judicial custody in the case.
