Lucknow. Mohit Yadav (32), a bus conductor of the Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTC), was found dead on a railway track near his native village. His dead body was found in a mutilated condition in Mainpuri district in the early hours of Monday. Mohit had lost his job about three months ago in Bareilly for allegedly stopping a Delhi-bound bus to allow two Muslim passengers to offer prayers. He was found dead on the railway track near his native village. Though no suicide note was found, Mohit’s family claimed that he ended his life by jumping in front of a moving train as he was under mental and financial stress due to non-cancellation of his dismissal.
Was working in roadways on contract for 10 years
The action against Mohit and bus driver KP Singh was taken two days after the June 3 incident when a video of the episode went viral. KP Singh, a regular UPSRTC employee, was suspended. Mohit was a contractual employee and was working with UPSRTC for almost 10 years. Mohit’s neighbor Santosh Yadav said that Mohit was recently helping his family in agriculture. “He used to talk about returning to his job, he believed that the action of terminating his service was done in haste.
Mohit was in depression due to being removed from the job without any reason
Mohit Yadav’s cousin Tinku Yadav, who runs a travel agency in Mainpuri, said that Mohit felt that he had been removed from his job without any reason. The bus was stopped after some passengers requested to allow them to go to the bathroom. Meanwhile, two passengers started offering Namaz. Driver KP Singh has also supported Tinku Yadav’s version of the incident. He told that on June 3, when his bus reached Rampur in the neighboring district, some passengers requested to stop the bus to go to the bathroom. When the bus stopped, two passengers started praying on the roadside. He told that the bus stopped at that place for about three minutes. On the other hand, UPSRTC Assistant Regional Manager (Bareilly) Sanjeev Srivastava said that after investigation, action was taken against Mohit and KP Singh. “Mohit had submitted an application to give him another chance, the application was to be placed before a committee.
Left the house saying to meet a friend
Mohit, who lives with his wife, a four-year-old son and three brothers in Nagla Kushali village, left the house on Sunday evening telling the family that he was going to meet a friend. Will buy some goods from the market. Mohit’s family got information on Monday morning that his body was lying near the railway track. They reached the spot and sent the body for postmortem. Police identified him from his belongings including his identity card, the track on which Mohit’s body was found is about a kilometer away from the house.
GRP got information about dead body from gangman
Government Railway Police (GRP) Mainpuri station in-charge Arvind Kumar said they got information about the body from a gangman when he was inspecting the railway track. “When the police arrived, the victim’s phone was ringing. We picked up the call and came to know about his identity. Meanwhile, the local people also reached and identified the dead body. The relatives have given in writing that while crossing the track, he came in contact with the train. The matter will be investigated.
Government job and compensation of 50 lakhs
On the death of conductor Mohit Yadav, SP national president Akhilesh Yadav has surrounded the government by tweeting. His party has demanded a government job for someone from the victim’s family. Samajwadi Party spokesperson Anurag Bhadoria says that the government should give a government job and compensation of 50 lakhs to a member of the conductor Mohit Yadav’s family. Samajwadi Party is also helping the victim’s family with Rs 2 lakh.
Congress spokesperson Surendra Rajput said that the fear of the present government is embarrassing humanity somewhere in every section of the society. If someone stops the car and gets someone’s religion done, then making his video viral and then firing him from the job is not justice.
