Mission Shakti 4.0: Women power will be empowered through short films and street plays

Lucknow: The fourth phase of Mission Shakti will be started by CM Yogi Adityanath from October 14. In the fourth phase of Mission Shakti, dedicated to the protection, respect and self-reliance of women power, programs like short films, street plays, dialogues and sound messages were organized by the Women and Children Organization to make women aware and to provide information about the government schemes. This program will be organized through circle wise rally from 15th to 24th October in Durga Pandals falling in all the Gram Panchayats, Wards, Localities and Routes of the state. For this, Women and Children Organization has prepared 31 themes of short films. Whereas eight themes of street drama have been prepared. The theme song (jingles) of the department will be broadcast in the voice message.

Padmaja Chauhan, ADG of Women and Children Organization and nodal of Mission Shakti, said that Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has announced the fourth phase of Mission Shakti on Shardiya Navratri. Under this, the department is motivating women and daughters across the state to raise their voice against the schemes of Yogi government, crime against women and atrocities against women through more than three dozen themes of short films and street plays. ADG Padmaja Chauhan said that in 31 short films, public awareness will be spread against harassment and exploitation of women working inside the house. Promotion of services provided by Women Power Line through various mediums, important laws on crimes like child marriage, dowry system, feticide, gender discrimination, social evils like child labour, exploitation and violence against children, women’s rights etc. They will be given information about the crimes taking place.

Apart from this, the commendable work done by Uttar Pradesh Police for women safety, protection and empowerment under various phases of Mission Shakti, Safe City Project for women safety, protection and awareness, special work done by women police personnel in Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav. The services being provided by Women Power Line 1090 will be publicized for the use of the corporate world.

Social awareness against child marriage, film on Mahila Beat Police and Mahila Beat campaign, appreciation by Prime Minister Narendra Modi for various campaigns being run under Mission Shakti, promotion of services being provided by Women Power Line through security guards. Propagation and awareness regarding women trafficking and unethical trade etc. will be shown on major topics.

Daughters will be given information about good and bad touch

At the circle wise rally stop, 8 street plays will make children aware about molestation, good touch, bad touch and sexual harassment by relatives. Social awareness, awareness about boys stalking girls on the streets, awareness about harassment of girls using internet through WhatsApp, Facebook, X, Instagram etc., harassment through obscene phone calls and messages. Information will be given about it being done.

It will be presented to educate and aware women against domestic violence, social awareness about human trafficking for the purpose of child labour/sexual exploitation and to spread social awareness about child marriage. The department’s theme song ‘Tu beti aur behen ka hai roop aur Janani bhi tu hai, 1090 hai tere saath jahan kahin bhi tu hai’ will be broadcast in Sandesh Dhvani.

According to the department-wise proposed action plan for the Mission Shakti Abhiyan, under the Rural Development Department, in 36816 Gram Panchayats, BC Sakhis in the age group of 18-40 years and Group Sakhis in the age group of 18-40 years, Agricultural Livelihood Sakhis, Health Sakhi, Vidyut Sakhi and Swayam The support group will be skilled as master trainers by providing self-defense training through the local women police. These master trainers will teach self-defense skills to daughters in rural areas through various mediums.

Durga Shakti Mega Safety Workshop will run

Women and Child Development Department will organize self-defense training workshops for girls living in girls’ homes under Durga Shakti Mega Safety Workshop. Under Shakti workshops, training and orientation of local and internal complaint committees formed under the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013 will also be done in all the districts.

School daughters will also get training

Youth Welfare Department will provide 7-day residential training to Mahila Mangal Dal for self-defense, self-reliance and empowerment under Nirbhaya Yojana. At the same time, the Higher Education Department will also make arrangements to provide training in martial arts and judo to girl students for self-protection in case of emergency. Along with this, awareness campaign on women safety and cyber crime will also be conducted in every district with the cooperation of the police department. Under Project Veerangana in the Basic Education Department, with the help of the Home Department, 11 thousand PTI teachers will be trained and self-defense training will be provided to 40 lakh girls of upper primary schools.
