Mission Rojgar: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath distributed appointment letters to 3,077 newly selected Anganwadi workers in a program organized under Mission Rojgar at Lok Bhavan on Wednesday. Also laid the foundation stone of 1,459 Anganwadi center buildings in 31 districts at a cost of Rs 173 crore. During this, he said that during the global pandemic Corona, Anganwadi workers, NM and Asha workers of the state served the infected people. These field workers were tasked with screening the Corona infected people as well as providing them medicines. This was the reason why the government was successful in preventing Corona infection in the state. CM Yogi further said that the number of Anganwadi centers in the state has doubled in the last seven years. He said that due to the hard work of Anganwadi workers of the state, the maternal and child mortality rate has decreased in comparison to 2014. According to the National Family Health Survey, the maternal mortality rate in the state was 285 per lakh in 2014, which has come down to 167. The infant mortality rate, which was 48 per thousand in 2014, has reduced to 38 per thousand. CM Yogi said that today the double engine government is providing hot cooked meals through women self-help groups and Anganwadi workers. CM Yogi said that today there is no death due to encephalitis in the state. Behind this is the hard work of the field workers of Uttar Pradesh, whose work has emerged as a model in the country today.
CM Yogi said that Anganwadi workers are like Yashoda Maiya, the way Mother Yashoda looked after Leeladhari Lord Shri Krishna. Similarly, Anganwadi workers are taking care of thousands of children in every Anganwadi center of the state. CM Yogi said that this is the same Uttar Pradesh, there are the same departments, the same people, but the picture of the state has changed in the last seven years. There has been a massive change in every field, which is not hidden from anyone. He said that the double engine government is developing quality recipe centers at every block level through Anganwadi centers and women self-help groups in the state. In the first phase, 204 such centers will be developed. This will provide employment to lakhs of people. Also, quality food and nutrition will be available in Uttar Pradesh. With this, the state will take a step forward in the direction of proper nutrition. He said that the role of Anganwadi workers is important in fulfilling Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s resolution of a developed India because it is the responsibility of keeping childhood healthy on them. If childhood is healthy then youth will be healthy and if youth is healthy then society will be able to take full advantage of its talent and potential.
