Misleading advertisements: Yoga Guru Ramdev (baba ramdev), Managing Director (MD) of Patanjali Ayurved Acharya Balkrishna (patanjali) appeared in the Supreme Court on Tuesday. On the issue of misleading advertisements, the court told Ramdev and the Managing Director of Patanjali that you should have ensured that an affidavit is filed regarding your sacred word.
Know what happened in the court
- On Patanjali’s plea seeking more time to file a fresh affidavit in the advertisement case, the Supreme Court said that sometimes things should reach their logical conclusion.
- The court told Patanjali in the advertisement case that this is complete disobedience, every order passed by not only the Supreme Court but all the courts across the country should be respected.
- On the advertisement issue, the Supreme Court told Ramdev and Patanjali MD that you will have to follow the promise given in the court, you have broken every limit.

- Ramdev’s lawyer told the Supreme Court, which is hearing Patanjali’s ‘misleading’ advertisement case, that I request the court to record my presence and consider the unconditional apology.
- Solicitor General Tushar Mehta told the Supreme Court, which is hearing Patanjali’s ‘misleading’ advertisement case, that what happened should not have happened.
- The Supreme Court said that it is surprising why the government kept its eyes closed when Patanjali company was loudly saying that there is no treatment for Covid in allopathy.
- The Supreme Court rejected the statement of the Managing Director of Patanjali in the affidavit in which he had said that the Drugs and Cosmetics (Magical Remedies) Act is old.
- Supreme Court has given last chance to Ramdev and Balkrishna to file affidavit in a week.
- The Supreme Court said that Ramdev, Balkrishna will be present before it on the next date of hearing on April 10.
